Bolbitis bizarre

Bolbitis heteroclita or Bolbitis bizarre, scientific name Bolbitis heteroclita. Fern widespread in tropical rainforests Southeast Asia. It grows in moist soil along the banks of water bodies. It does not grow underwater, although it may be in this state for some time, since in nature its natural habitat is often flooded during the rainy season. Mainly used in paludariums and wet terrariums. In aquarism, its varieties are used: Bolbitis heteroclita “Cuspidata” and Bolbitis heteroclita “Difformis”.

Bolbitis bizarre

This fern has a variety of leaf shapes and sizes. из-за which previously it was divided into several types. The classic Bolbitis heteroclita has large, lanceolate, pointed leaves similar to those of the Java fern. They grow in “bushes” on a creeping rhizome.

Like other lower plants, it is easy to maintain. It is enough to provide moist soil, a high level of humidity and a subdued level of lighting. Able to grow on loose damp wood – snag.
