Rotala narrow-leaved green
Rotala narrow-leaved green, English trade name Rotala macrandra “Green Narrow Leaf”. This plant is a further development of another breeding form of Rotala macrandra “Green”, which is distinguished by more elongated leaf blades.
Not to be confused with another similarly named variety Rotala narrow-leaved (Rotala macrandra “Narrow Leaf”), also known as Rotala magenta.
Unlike Rotala Macrandra “Green”, this form does not change the shape of the leaves depending on the growth conditions. In a favorable environment, the plant forms low sprouts 10-30 cm in height with a red stem and green-pink leaves. The intensity of red shades depends on the degree of illumination and the presence of nutrients.
For healthy active growth, it is important to provide very soft acidic water with a temperature near the upper limit. At relatively low temperatures, growth slows down or even stops.
When placed in an aquarium, each seedling should be some distance apart and placed (preferably) directly under the light source. Shading should not be allowed, which can also happen due to excessive growth. Requires regular thinning and pruning.
