The new inhabitant of the house will immediately need their own dishes: it is better if the bowls are made of stainless steel or high-quality plastic, which will not harm the pet when in contact with food. The dishes should be stable and have rounded edges so that the cat does not cut itself. The pet should have three bowls – for dry and wet food and for water. They should be washed separately from the human, and this should be done regularly. Dishes must be clean for every meal.

Food

Any food can cause allergies, so you need to choose it carefully, in consultation with your doctor. Nutrition should be selected in accordance with the age of the pet and the need for certain vitamins and nutrients. And at the slightest manifestations – itching, hair loss – the cat must be shown to the veterinarian in order to prevent complications. It should be remembered that proper nutrition for a cat is a combination of dry and wet diets.

Restroom

The toilet tray should be quite roomy so that the pet does not crowd in it and does not scatter the filler on the floor. A place for it must be chosen in advance: out of sight, away from prying eyes. It is advisable to clean the cat litter box after each use.

A place to sleep

Most of the day, the cat, as you know, sleeps, so her place to rest should be comfortable. Usually cats prefer elevated places to watch the rest of the inhabitants of the house, but remain safe. If possible, you can buy a special cat house or make it yourself. The main thing is that the sleeping place should have a soft and comfortable bedding.

Nail care

To preserve the furniture and health of the pet, the owner should carefully monitor the claws: cut them in time so that the animal does not catch on the upholstered furniture and tear them out by the roots. And since sharpening claws is a necessity for a cat, she needs a scratching post with which she will satisfy this need. To accustom a pet to this device, there are special bait tools that can attract an animal.

Toys

For the growth and development of a kitten, care and nutrition are not enough, he also needs activity, so the pet must definitely buy toys. Furry mice, various balls, an attractive and rustling piece of paper on a string – any such toys will be a joy not only for a kitten, but also for an adult cat. At the same time, you should not accustom the kitten to games with your hands, otherwise, when he grows up, he may show aggression and bite hard.

Sterilization

If a pet appeared in the house not for breeding, but for the soul, you should not torture him or yourself. Veterinarians usually recommend spaying the cat and neutering the cat. There are several reasons for this:

• The animal will become calmer, will not yell during sexual activity;
• The pet will not strive outside and, accordingly, will avoid infection with many dangerous diseases.
