However, sometimes genetics has nothing to do with it, and the reason for the protruding tongue is in the poor condition of the oral cavity and teeth. Fortunately, most dogs with hanging tongue syndrome can lead full lives. However, it is worth making sure that the pet does not experience discomfort and does not suffer from any disease, which means that a veterinarian consultation is necessary.
