The cat is sick: what to do?

It’s always disappointing when a pet gets sick. However, every cat owner must have faced such a situation. What to do if the cat is sick?

First and foremost, if your cat is sick, contact your veterinarian as soon as possible and make sure you fully understand their instructions. It is better to write them down if you doubt that you will remember everything exactly. And in the future, strictly adhere to the recommendations of the veterinarian.

If there are several animals in the house or it is very noisy, it is worth placing the cat in a separate room to ensure peace and quiet. Make sure the room is warm and free of drafts. Be sure to put a tray with low sides and a bowl of water in the same place.

Be sure to equip the cat with a comfortable and cozy place to rest.

As a rule, a veterinarian prescribes a diet for sick cats, and it is important to adhere to it.

Very often, the need to give a cat medication causes such stress for the owner that he infects his purr with his nervousness. And, of course, if both are nervous, the process turns into torment. Do not panic and keep calm, then the cat will not be so worried.

And in no case do not “prescribe” medicines to a sick cat on your own and do not give human medicines to the purr – this is a mortal risk for the animal!
