Character
Lykoi is considered a natural mutation of the domestic cat. Outwardly, these animals make an ambiguous impression: their hair grows in tufts. They are even called werecats.
But such a strange and even frightening appearance is deceptive: Lykoi are very friendly and sweet creatures. They are affectionate, very sociable, love to be close to the owner.
At the same time, cats of this breed rarely sit still – their life goes on in motion. They constantly play, and the owners should take this into account, giving the animal enough attention.
Cats of this breed have very strong instincts. They are excellent hunters and are happy to improve their skills. Having played too much, they can rush at a person. Likewise, faces can behave towards a stranger who has entered their territory.
For this reason, it is not recommended to have cats of this breed in families with small children – a cat may show aggression in response to awkward attempts by a child to stroke or hug her.
Lykoi are very smart. They easily remember commands, their name and the rules that the owner teaches them to. However, sometimes they can be stubborn and defiantly not respond to the owner’s comments. It’s all because of the independent and wild disposition that is present in cats of this breed at the genetic level.
Likoi Care
It may seem that Lykoi do not need special care for their coat – it is partially absent. However, with this peculiarity of theirs, Lykoi shed very heavily and can periodically remain completely hairless. In this case, they need special care. Hairless cats get cold faster, so owners should think about how to help pets keep their vital warmth. Firstly, suitable temperature conditions at home must be created for this. Secondly, the cat should have special clothes that will allow her to calmly survive the cold time.
It is noteworthy that Lykoi love to be combed out . They themselves enjoy spending time licking their fur. Therefore, do not neglect this procedure.
Conditions of detention
Likoi feel great in a city apartment. However, the owner must understand that if he does not equip the cat with a place where she can splash out her energy, she will begin to invent activities for herself and may even harm household property. Therefore, it is better to take care of this issue in advance in order to save yourself from unpleasant surprises.
