How to determine the mood of a cat by the position of the back

If the cat is crouching on its front paws, while arching its back, this means that the animal is frightened and is evaluating options for how to avoid the threat. The reasons for this behavior can be many: from loud knocking and barking of a dog to a suspicious smell. 

Is the cat rubbing against its legs, arching its back in a zigzag pattern? She is in a great mood, loving and not averse to playing. This is how the pet demonstrates its love and affection for the owner. 

At the same time, the cat can easily roll over onto its back, exposing its tummy. This is a sign of the highest level of trust. In this case, the animal feels completely safe and is not afraid to open up to a person. 

The cat stretches, arching its back, when it first wakes up. At this point, as a rule, her mood is difficult to determine. However, this posture clearly indicates that the animal has had a good night’s sleep and is ready for activity.

Finally, if the cat’s back is absolutely relaxed, it means that the pet feels at ease, she is comfortable, she just enjoys life.
