  4. Corn.

Porridge. To catch sturgeon, you can cook millet porridge. You need to weld it so that it becomes homogeneous and can be cut into pieces for hook attachment. It is made according to a fishing recipe: the porridge is brewed and put on a boil, and it becomes what it needs to be.

Bread. Such a bait, of course, is not very suitable for sturgeon, but for lack of a better one, you can also use it. You can knead the crumb, smeared with vegetable oil or a crust of rye bread and put on a hook like a worm or other bait.

Dough. You need to take flour – wheat or corn, and mix it with vegetable oil, roll up balls and put on a hook.

Corn. You can use canned corn and fresh, pre-cooking it until soft. There is one inconvenience when catching this fish – the grain is very small and the fish can not immediately notice this bait. And therefore it is desirable to put several grains on the hook at once.

If you wish to use vegetable baits, you can also apply – peas, potatoes. The main thing is to properly prepare the bait and put more on the hook, not sparing it. Otherwise, it will be very difficult to catch the desired fish.

animal bait

Malek. Putting the bait on the hook, you need to pierce it along and across. It is best to select large fry for bait, so that when baited, it hides the sting of the hook.

A cape. Sturgeon bites very well on smoked fish, and in this case, you can take capelin, but preferably not large, otherwise the fish simply will not be able to swallow it.

Herring. Herring for catching sturgeon is used in a pickled form. It is good if onions and garlic are added to the marinade, as it bites very well on fragrant bait. They put it in small pieces so that the sting of the hook is hidden. For this, meat from the ridge is better suited.

Escape worm. It is better to take large individuals for sturgeon fishing. They are put on the hook at the same time in several pieces, piercing them so that they form a wriggling ball that will attract the attention of the fish. In order to prevent small fish from stealing such a bait, it is best to place it in a net.

You can also use other animal baits to catch sturgeon. It can be – squid, shrimp, raw liver. Most importantly, the bait must be large enough, otherwise she will not notice it and will be content with small fish.
