creeping moss
Creeping moss, trade name Vesicularia sp. Creeping Moss. Probably, the species of moss hiding under this name has not yet received scientific identification. In addition, under the same name from different suppliers, it is not uncommon to find other, already well-known species, such as Vesicularia Doubi and Christmas moss.
Creeping moss has much in common with the species mentioned above. For example, minor differences can be noted in comparison with Christmas moss. Creeping moss forms coarser shoots, which tend to grow upwards. The leaflets are broad, oval, with short tips, but narrower.
It grows quickly, attaches well to the surface of snags and stones. Placement on the ground is not recommended. Like most mosses used in aquariums, it is considered unpretentious and easy to keep. Not picky about the composition of the water, successfully adapts to a wide temperature range. Able to grow in an airy humid environment – in paludariums that mimic the conditions of swamps, tropical rainforests.
Reproduction occurs by simply dividing the beam into separate parts and then fixing it on any surface.
