The species has not been established. It is possible that several similar species are supplied under the same trade name. Outwardly, it is largely identical to such mosses of the genus Vesicularia sp. like Vesicularia Dubi, Erect Moss, Weeping Moss, Christmas Moss and many others.

The distinguishing features of Anchor Moss are its lighter green hues and twig arrangement. In some cases, they are at right angles to the stem, which is not found in other species.

Although the main growing environment is the water’s edge or places with high humidity, nevertheless, Anchor Moss grows successfully under water. However, when submerged, growth rates are low. When grown in aquariums unpretentious. Optimum growth conditions are found over a wide range of temperatures, pH and GH.

It is noted that the best appearance is achieved in a mature aquarium, rich in nutrients, in moderate to bright light.

Planting is recommended on any hard surface. The ideal substrate is natural driftwood. Placement on the ground is undesirable, since rhizoids are difficult to attach to moving particles.
