Bucephalandra red-brown narrow, scientific name Bucephalandra sp. “brown-red narrow”. One of the first plants of this genus imported to Europe in 2004. It was originally called Bucephalandra motleyana (Bucephalandra motleyana), therefore it is periodically found on sale under the old name. Comes from Southeast Asia from the island of Kalimantan (Borneo), where it grows on the shady banks of rivers and streams on the surface of stones and snags.
It is a species of Bucephalandra Serimbu. The plant has narrow lanceolate soft leaves. dark green colors, with the lower part brown or red-brown. The stem is short creeping and almost invisible when growing into dense thickets. Bucephalandra is able to grow both underwater and above water. Rooting is possible only on a solid surface – a stone or a tree. Does not grow outdoors. Unpretentious to growing conditions. Prefers warm, soft, slightly acidic water. Perfectly adapts to different light levels.
