In aquariums, it is planted in sandy substrates. Aponogeton wavy prefers soft neutral or slightly acidic water, a high level of illumination. They can survive in other conditions, but they grow very slowly. The plant has large elongated leaves, wavy along the edges. There is no stem as such, the leaves start from one point – the rosette. Reproduction is vegetative, the plant has an arrow, on top of which its miniature copy is formed. A young sprout can be separated and planted in the ground, or wait until it falls off on its own.

They serve as excellent aquarium decorations, placed in free areas so as not to fall into the shadow of other plants. In nature, it can reach large sizes, in some cases up to 70 cm, but in home aquariums it is leveled by the size of the tank and rarely exceed 40 cm in height.
