Who is better to take: a cat or a cat?
Contents
Cats
- It is believed that they are more affectionate and more often show tenderness than cats;
- More clean, more often cats wash and lick themselves;
- Tactful, usually avoid getting into open confrontation with family members.
The main disadvantage of acquiring a cat is estrus. During this period, animals begin to literally go crazy. At the same time, cats meow heart-rendingly, constantly raise their tail and show even more affection than usual. To avoid this behavior, the animal is sterilized.
Cats
- More playful, they like to attack, search for and track down prey, which can be useful if rodents are wound up in the house;
- Warlike, they try to take a higher place in the family hierarchy;
- More active than cats, they like to control the behavior of family members, the situation in the house;
- Not so clean and besides, they tend to mark the territory.
The main disadvantage of cats is aggressiveness. It can manifest itself in attacks on family members whom the cat considers weaker than itself. The dominant model of behavior forces the male not to recognize authorities – there can only be one owner. When getting a cat, one must be prepared to educate and demonstrate who is the boss in the house.
Other landmarks
When choosing a pet, you should not be guided only by its gender. Other criteria are no less important: character, breed, upbringing, including the one that the kitten will receive in a new family.
If an adult cat has come to you, its character and behavior will largely depend on what it has already experienced. An animal that has been abused can remain intimidated or aggressive forever, regardless of gender. But care and affection can, over time, awaken tenderness in any pet and allow you to gain trust.
