The White Pearl Shrimp (Neocaridina cf. zhangjiajiensis “White Pearl”) belongs to the Atyidae family. An artificially bred variety that does not occur in the natural environment. It is a close relative of the Blue Pearl Shrimp. Distributed in the countries of the Far East (Japan, China, Korea). Adults reach 3-3.5 cm, life expectancy is more than 2 years when kept in favorable conditions.

Maintenance and care
It is possible to keep in a common aquarium with peaceful non-carnivorous fish, or in a separate tank. Feels great in a wide range of pH and dH values. The design should provide for a sufficient number of reliable shelters, for example, hollow ceramic tubes, vessels, where shrimps can hide during molting.
They feed on all types of food supplied to aquarium fish. They will pick up fallen food. Herbal supplements should be additionally served in the form of slices of cucumber, carrots, lettuce, spinach and other vegetables. Otherwise, shrimp can switch to plants. Should not be kept together with other shrimp as crossbreeding and hybrids are possible.
