When Dog Training Doesn’t Help
Some dog owners, when faced with behavioral problems for their best friends, go to the training ground, believing that training will help correct their pet’s behavior. However, training is not a panacea for all ills. In some cases it can help, and in others it is completely useless. When does dog training help and when does it not?

When is dog training useful?
Of course, any dog needs to be taught at least basic commands. This will help make it well-mannered and comfortable in everyday life, you can safely walk down the street for yourself and others and control the behavior of the dog.
Humane training also enriches a dog’s life, adds variety to it, provides an intellectual challenge, and can save your four-legged friend from boredom and related behavioral problems.
In addition, training a dog in a humane way helps to establish contact with the owner and improve mutual understanding between you and the pet.
That is, it is useful to train a dog. But training has its limits. She, alas, does not help to cope with behavioral problems. So, if the dog has them, you can control it with the help of training only to a certain extent (if you can at all).
When Dog Training Doesn’t Help
There are cases in which dog training does not help.
Even if your dog perfectly obeys the “Sit” and “Close” commands, this will not help him cope with destructive behavior, excessive barking and howling, overcome shyness, overcome phobias, or become less aggressive and other problems related to living conditions, health and psychological the condition of the dog.
If you are experiencing similar dog behavior problems, you need to look for the cause and work directly with it, as well as the condition of the dog (eg, over-arousal). In such cases, sometimes it is necessary to change the conditions of the dog’s life (first of all, to ensure the observance of 5 freedoms) and, if necessary, to apply specially developed methods that have nothing to do with the training course.
That is, even training by humane methods in such cases is useless. And training with inhumane methods or using inhumane equipment only exacerbates these problems.
