What can dogs see on TV?

It’s no secret that dogs see the world differently than we do. Including our and canine speed of image perception differ.

In order for you and me to perceive the image on the screen, a frequency of 45 – 50 hertz is enough for us. But dogs need at least 70 – 80 hertz to understand what is happening on the screen. But the flicker frequency of older TVs is about 50 hertz. So many dogs whose owners have not changed their equipment to a more modern one simply cannot physically understand what is shown on TV. Which means they don’t show any interest. Moreover, such an image of them is annoying, making it difficult to concentrate.
