Types of Aquarium Plants

triangular moss

Triangular moss, scientific name Vesicularia sp. triangelmoos. It got its name due to the densely branched shoots that form a triangular contour. Outwardly, it resembles mini Christmas moss, in particular with oval leaves with a sharp tip and a relatively wide plate, but its tips of the shoots are directed upwards like Moss Erect.

It was first introduced as an aquarium plant in 2004 by Bioplast of Singapore under the trade name “Triangle Moss” (or “San Jiao Moss”).

It grows equally well both under water and in humid air, which allows it to be used in aquariums and paludariums. It is recommended to place on any hard surface, such as natural driftwood, stones. Should not be planted in the ground, because short rhizoids do not hold moss well on a crumbly surface.

It is unpretentious, adapts well to various conditions of illumination, temperature and water parameters (pH and GH). Reproduction occurs by simply dividing the beam into parts.
