The kitten has watery eyes: what to do?

The eyes of kittens are watery quite often, especially at an early age, before the first vaccination. During this period, the baby’s body is not yet strong and cannot fight the huge number of parasites and microorganisms that surround it. Various – dangerous and not so – infections are happy to use this and stick to kittens, declaring themselves discharge from the eyes and other equally pleasant symptoms.

In addition to infections, watery eyes can also be caused by other causes: colds, parasite infestations, eye injuries and bruises, as well as more mundane problems such as an allergic reaction to dust. At the same time, the lacrimal sacs, the cornea of the eye, the glands located on the eyelid (when infected with a tick), as well as the conjunctiva, which occurs most often, can become inflamed. Perhaps there is no person or pet in the world who has never had conjunctivitis, and you need to know this enemy by sight. Conjunctivitis is accompanied by redness of the eye and swelling of the eyelids, and various factors can also provoke it: from foreign objects getting into the eye to infectious diseases. So what to do if the kitten has watery eyes?

First of all, we clean our eyes with a special lotion, such as Clean Eye from ISB. It acts gently and quickly eliminates pain, relieves possible redness around the eyes. Non-toxic, completely safe, does not burn when applied, does not cause addiction and allergic reactions.
