The artist decorates photos of animals and birds with magical patterns!

Rohan Sharad Dahotre, a designer and illustrator from India, brings life to photographs of animals from all over the world, decorating them with magical drawings.

Rohan finds photos of birds and animals on the Internet and, using the Adobe Illustrator program, adds fascinating patterns to the ones he likes, using shapes that are inspired by nature itself. A series of edited photos called “Animal Doodles” was born as a simple experiment, but after the designer noted how popular the very first painted picture of a rhinoceros became, a number of others followed. Now, among Rohan’s work can be found in a variety of ways – from a raven dressed in a feather sweater to a grizzly flaunting in an unusual poncho.

I have always been very inspired by such art, and more recently I have become very interested in patterns used in particular by African tribes. photo: @rohandahotre/instagram  In addition to the aesthetics of the drawings, Rohan’s desire to support initiatives such as protecting the environment and spreading awareness of wildlife issues also plays a big role.
