Staurogynes
Plants of the genus Staurogyne (sp. Staurogyne) are widespread in the tropics on almost all continents. In nature, they form dense thickets on wet, flooded substrates, in crevices between stones and rocks along the banks of fast rivers and stagnant reservoirs.
As an aquarium plant, Staurogins began to be used relatively recently, from the beginning
Most species in the aquarium hobby develop a creeping stem with many closely spaced leaves on short petioles in their underwater form. When growing, they form a dense undersized bush. It is equally applicable both in aquariums and in paludariums.
All species are considered quite demanding on the growing environment, therefore they are not recommended for beginners.
