Puppy socialization: meeting people

Normally, the dog reacts calmly to a variety of people. To do this, it is important to introduce the puppy to people during socialization. There is a rule of 12, according to which, in the first 12 weeks, the puppy must see 12 different objects of different categories, including 12 different types of people: adults, children, men and women, elderly people, men with a beard, people with a cane, umbrellas , backpacks and sunglasses, representatives of different nationalities, parents with strollers and lovers of wide-brimmed hats, people in raincoats and life-size puppets, and so on and so forth.

It is important that communication with different people is safe, and the puppy feels confident. Socialization should be a pleasant process for a small puppy, and in no case should the pet be allowed to be frightened.

If early socialization is neglected, you risk getting a cowardly and/or aggressive dog. If you take the time to properly socialize the puppy, he will grow up to be adequate and will respond quite normally to a wide variety of people with whom he happens to meet in life.
