Nymph
Nymph (Fantail Goldfish – English), as well as its Japanese counterpart Ryukin (Ryukin) are decorative species that are specially bred to participate in various specialized exhibitions. The main feature is a large tail fin. The most perfect forms have a completely forked tail, when viewed from above, it looks like a triangle. The anal fin is similarly divided. Those specimens whose fins are not completely separated or have non-symmetrical parts are destined for the fate of a simple pet, they will not be able to win any award. The most common variety is reddish-orange, but there are also spotted, pearly and even white ones.
Despite its decorative effect, the Nymph is a very hardy species and will not yield to its relatives in this respect, the common Goldfish or Comet. It can also live both in a home aquarium and in a backyard pond. Able to survive gradual temperature drops to 4–5 ° C.
