Named new cat breeds

The werecat has an official name in Latin — Likoy, which means “cat wolf”. It is noted that the breed appeared as a result of a natural genetic mutation in an ordinary domestic cat. Distinctive feature of pets — always a black nose, which gives the animal a slightly fabulous look. It is interesting that, according to the breeders, at home, the Lykoi shows exclusively dog ​​habits.

The Giant Aphrodite might be one of the oldest cat breeds in the world, but due to its recent discovery, it is one of the newest. According to scientists, its first representatives appeared in Cyprus 9 thousand years ago. Aphrodite is not called giant for nothing: pets grow up to 1 meter in length and can weigh about 13 kilograms.

The Tennessee Rex is also the result of a natural mutation in the genes of the domestic cat. Animals of this breed have a unique curly coat with a golden tint. Tennessee Rex today — an object of admiration for breeders around the world.

Finally, the dwarf bobtail, or skiff toy bob. The breed was bred in Russia. Scientists have been fighting over it for almost 40 years, since the 80s of the last century. The Skiff-Toy-Bob is officially considered the smallest cat in the world. Pet owners claim that they have a very accommodating character and amazingly quickly become attached to the owner.
