By now, it has gradually gone out of fashion, but still available for sale.

The plant has a high stem, along the entire height of which thin branched leaves depart underwater. Upon reaching the surface above the water, ordinary green leaves are formed, and in favorable conditions, purple spotted flowers may appear. Propagation occurs by side shoots or stem pruning. The cut fragment can be placed in the ground and after a while it will give roots.

The content is relatively simple, but it is impossible to call Limnophila aquatic an unpretentious plant. It needs a good level of illumination and additional introduction of carbon dioxide. In addition, the soil must contain a sufficient amount of nutrients, and if in a mature aquarium with fish they accumulate naturally (excrement, food leftovers etc.), then the new aquarium will require fertilizer. High quality water and regular cleaning will avoid settling of organic plaque on the leaves, in addition, their structure contributes to the sticking of various debris. As a result, it is not recommended for beginner aquarists.
