Corydoras Kocha or Catfish baby, scientific name Corydoras cochui, belongs to the family Callichthyidae (Shelled or Callicht catfish). The fish is named after Fred Cochu, a major tropical fish exporter. The fish comes from central Brazil (South America), where it inhabits the upper basin of the Araguaia River.

Description

Adult individuals reach a length of about 3 cm. The main color is gray with large black specks. The fins are translucent with dotted stripes. Catfish baby is a natural variety of the Graceful Corridor, which has been separated into an independent species. It differs from the original species in the number of dark marks on the sides of the body – 4-5 versus 2-3.

In particular, they are not demanding in terms of design and feel comfortable in a wide range of hydrochemical parameters.

Food. Another important aspect, thanks to which Somik is classified as an unpretentious baby, is his diet. It is an omnivore, accepting most suitable sized foods intended for aquarium fish. It is advisable to purchase sinking food, since corridors spend a significant part of their time near the bottom.
