Kabomba water

Cabomba aquatic or ordinary, scientific name Cabomba aquatica. It comes from northern and central South America, where it grows in rivers and streams with a moderate and fast flow. It received a scientific description in 1775, long before the discovery of other plants from the Kabomba genus. Known in the aquarium trade, and for many years, however, not widely used in comparison with the Caroline Cabomba из-за high standards for their care.

The plant needs a good level of lighting, normal growth is possible in a fairly narrow range of temperatures and hydrochemical parameters of water. The accumulation of organic waste, which is the cause of suspension, which in turn will be deposited on the plant, should not be allowed, especially since the structure of the leaves contributes to this.

The water kabomba is able to grow more than one meter in length. Modified green leaves resembling dill leaves depart from the stem. At the very top, they are painted in dark red colors. When reaching the surface of the water, the leaves take on a different shape – a solid ovoid or elliptical, which become a kind of platform for the formation of flowers.
