If you suddenly doubt that everything is possible on our planet, then just read about the cute Pigcasso pig (pig from English – pig), which, after being rescued from a South African slaughterhouse, became a famous artist!

It has been several years since activist and animal rights activist Joan Lefson adopted a four-week-old Pigkasso, who was rescued from the infamous fate of slaughter animals. She returned the pig to freedom and left to live on her farm, which she immediately liked.

One day, Joan brought various toys to the pig to amuse her a little. Among the children’s knickknacks, someone’s brushes were lost, which so fascinated Pigcasso that she ignored all other objects. Believe it or not, she started painting!

Pigcasso dips his brush into the paint and runs it across the canvas…

She showed such talent and genuine passion for this business that now the pig has her own art gallery on the farm, which has become her home.

Though with collectors paying up to $2k to get an original Pigcasso, adding new works to the gallery is becoming increasingly rare!)

“I don’t force her to paint. She paints when she wants Lefson said. “Often we fill a full picnic basket with treats and she devours organic strawberries, guava and caramel popcorn between brush strokes. For Pigcasso, this is just heaven!”

“Pigcasso’s art is what you would probably call expressionism”Lefson added.

Pigs are surprisingly curious animals that are constantly on the lookout. It is important for them to find a source of inspiration or entertainment.

For example, they can play with toys or perform tricks with pleasure. If they have nothing to do but wallow in the mud, then the poor fellows will simply get bored, and subsequently begin to feel completely miserable.

Most often, pigs indulge in balls or learn simple dog commands. But drawing is something completely new!

Pigcasso: the artistic pig with a passion for painting

At the moment Pigcasso is the only known such pig. Joan hopes that the example of her pet will show many people that pigs are amazingly intelligent and exceptional animals that definitely deserve a better fate than slaughter! Like the owner of the pig, we are sure that someday Pigcasso’s paintings will be shown in the best galleries in Paris and New York!

Did you like the work of the animal? Would you like to have such a breadwinner on the farm?)
