Hyperactive dog behavior at home

Such behavior is prone to breeds such as Jack Russell Terrier, beagle, Labrador and many others. No matter how hard you try to bring your four-legged friend to his senses at this moment, everything will be in vain. The dog will ignore you, and all attempts to calm the pet during this period are doomed to failure.

What causes such behavior?

The answer to this question is quite simple. Most likely, your pet does not lose energy during a walk, and he simply does not have enough load.

What can be done in this case?

First, increase the time of the walk. If the dog walks 2 times a day, the walk time should be at least 60 minutes.

Secondly, we give the dog a full load – running, active games. A great solution is to run next to the bike in the park.

Thirdly, sports can be used to correct hyperactivity – for example, agility, frisbee, flyball etc.

Another very effective way is swimming. Moscow has a variety of dog fitness centers with pools. An alternative and less costly option if your dog is a small breed is the bathroom. You can make a pool for your pet in the bathroom, but it is still better to get a life jacket so that the dog stays evenly on the water and does not choke.

Remember that before a variety of physical activities, you must first exclude cardiopathologies, since loads are strictly prohibited during them. So before you do this or that sport, it is recommended to have an examination by a cardiologist with echocardiography.
