Gastromyzon lepidogaster

Gastromyzon lepidogaster, scientific name Gastromyzon lepidogaster, belongs to the family Balitoridae (River loaches). Endemic to the northern tip of the island of Borneo (Kalimantan) in Southeast Asia. It occurs in the basins of rivers flowing into Wallace Bay, such as Kimanis, Petagas, Labuk, Kinabatangan and others flowing through the territory of the Malaysian state of Sabah. It also lives in the part of the island called East Kalimantan and belongs to Indonesia.

Gastromyzon lepidogaster

A fairly large representative of the Gastromizons, and probably the most colorful. Adult individuals reach a length of up to 10 cm. The color is predominantly monophonic and, depending on the region of origin, can vary significantly, shades of black, yellow, orange, red are not caustic. etc. The fins and tail are black trimmed.
