Five ways to keep your dog entertained on a rainy evening

You can start small: let the animal see how its owner hides some treat in the room, and then try to find it. Then you can invite the dog to find a favorite toy or one of the family members.

To do this, the owner must adhere to certain rules: start the game only at will, periodically take breaks, stop the fun if the dog starts to flirt.

In bad weather, staying at home, you can devote time to training: repeat already familiar commands and study new ones. If the pet is still quite a puppy, then you can start with the basics: “sit”, “stand” and “come to me”. Subsequently, by exercising regularly, you can even teach your pet to jump through the hoop on command.

Aspiring animal lovers can keep their pets entertained without having to create complicated structures: just a simple stool is enough. You can teach your dog to jump over it or crawl under it. Subsequently, if you add other pieces of furniture, the obstacle course will appear by itself. 

Finally, you can stimulate the animal’s mental activity by teaching him to distinguish toys: for example, by name, color or shape. You can use free time for selfish purposes — Train your dog to bring newspaper or slippers. In any case, experts say, such exercises have a positive effect on the mood of the pet and do not let him get bored.
