Dog Parking
Visiting shopping centers, official institutions with a dog is most often problematic. If your pet belongs to miniature breeds, then this is still possible, but with larger animals, some places may not be allowed. It is clear that you can leave the animal at home. But this is not always possible, and sometimes, on the contrary, it is necessary to take the pet with you. A simple solution that everyone has been using for decades is to tie the dog at the entrance to a store or any other institution.
The advantages are obvious: the animal will not run away, and the owner can calmly do his business. There are just more cons. If the animal itself does not run away, then it is not immune from the aggression of other animals (and if the dog is muzzled, for example, it will not even be able to defend itself). Atmospheric phenomena cannot be discounted either – rain or snow most often does not choose the time convenient for the individual to begin. Well, the biggest danger, unfortunately, comes from bipedal representatives of the fauna. As you know, only a person commits crimes, and a dog tied at the store is not protected by anything from the illegal actions of passers-by.
In Europe and Asia, they found a very interesting way out of this situation. Dog parks have been organized in places where entry with large animals or animals in general is prohibited. This innovation began with fenced pens, where it was possible, just like in the old fashioned way at the entrance, to tie an animal, but at the same time be sure that it would not be attacked by a pack of stray dogs, a rabid squirrel or an inadequate person, since these pens guarded by the staff of the centers.
Of course, there were inconveniences: the dogs left in the parking lot were protected from the outside, but they could easily “quarrel” with each other. Therefore, the service of dog sitters appeared second, who looked after your dog while you were away. The inconvenience of this service is very banal – its high cost.
But progress does not stand still, and modern dog parking solves all issues in a complex. Usually these are individual boxes, like rooms in capsule hotels, only adjusted for the size of the animal. Parking lots are set up in the same way in front of the entrance to shopping centers or any other establishments where dogs are not allowed. Of course, not every dog will agree to sit in a confined space for a long time, but usually animals are not left there for a long time.
Built-in conveniences depend on the desire of the installer. Some parking lots are modern capsules equipped with a climate system, water supply and even CCTV cameras. The owner, leaving the animal in this digital device, can not only not worry about its convenience, but even watch the pet in real time.
Other car parks are more like a dog kennel, only cleaner and made of plastic. In essence, this is a large cage with a combination lock, like a box in a storage room at a train station or a fitness center.
By the way, this type of parking is installed near the Danilovsky market in Moscow. For our country, this is still an atypical service, but it is on Tulskaya that the first stone has been laid for the development of dog parking. It opened, however, quite recently – in April 2019. But, according to its organizers, it is in a well-deserved demand, despite the fact that the Danilovsky market is a dog-friendly zone where the passage with animals is not prohibited at all.
