Cat treat recipes

How to establish contact with a cat and show care and love for her? Homemade cat treats will help you with this. We offer several recipes for cookies for a mustachioed pet that you can cook at home using cat food. Hill’s Science Plan, Hill’s  or Hill’s Prescription Diet.

IMPORTANT. Fry food Hill’s Prescription Diet a/d is not suitable for baking. However, at the end of the article you will find tips on how you can use a/d food to make homemade treats.

Remember: homemade cat biscuits cannot be frozen. To keep them fresh and prevent spoilage, all baked homemade treats should be kept in the refrigerator, but no more than 5-7 days.

Quantity of the finished product: approximately 24 servings.

Canned cat treats

  1. Open the jar and lay out its contents.
  2. Cut the pâté into 0,5 cm thick slices and then crumble them into small pieces.
  3. Bake the cat treat in the microwave at high power for about 2-3 minutes. If using an oven, place the pieces on an ungreased baking sheet and bake at 175°C for 30 minutes until crispy.

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C.
  2. Spread half a can of cat food over a piece of wax paper.
  3. Cut the dispensed feed into 1 cm thick triangles.
  4. Place the triangles on an ungreased baking sheet and bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
  5. Flip the triangles over and bake for another 15 minutes.
  6. Let the cookies cool completely before offering to the cat.

Canned food gravy

  1. Mash half a can of canned food in a measuring cup.
  2. Add a third of a cup of water.
  3. Stir the ingredients until you get the consistency of a gravy.

Dry cat treats

  1. Grind 2 cups of dry cat food in a blender to a powder.
  2. Pour the powder into a bowl and, stirring gradually, add water until you have a dough.
  3. Form the dough into a cookie shape and flatten with a spoon.
  4. Place the cat treats on an ungreased baking sheet and bake in the oven at 175°C for about 30 minutes until crispy. Don’t freeze homemade cat treats!

Cookie cutters in the form of funny figures will make the cooking process even more interesting, especially on the eve of the holidays!

Specialty: Frozen cat food with Hill’s Prescription Diet a/d

  • Roll up small balls of canned cat food and place them in the freezer. Serve frozen.

As with any other complementary treats for cats, homemade treats should not exceed 10% of your cat’s total daily diet.
