Buying a parrot: which one to choose?

 You have finally decided that you want to get a parrot as a pet. This should be a deliberate decision, because any animal is not a toy. This is a big responsibility, because wrong actions or simply inaction can lead to serious irreparable consequences.  I would like people to realize that some birds live quite a long time and need daily care. Before buying, you should read the literature about the nature or specifics of some species, because you will have many years together. For example, parrots the most common among all those kept at home. They are lively, mobile, interesting, quite unpretentious in care, they also live for a long time. However, when keeping a large flock, they can be quite noisy, there will be a lot of garbage from them, and the host may have an allergy. 

If you choose one of the medium parrots as a pet, then there are a lot of options. cockatiels more phlegmatic, poorly trained in imitating speech, but usually not as noisy. Large parrots live longer than medium ones. With a lack of care, birds can start to get sick or pluck themselves. Jaco and cockatoo very badly tolerate separation from the owner. Macaws do not have a good ability to reproduce speech, but they love to play and, like cockatoos, they can be taught various tricks. Jaco beautiful and capable “talkers” will be excellent companions.
