Anubias heterophyllous
Anubias heterophylla, scientific name Anubias heterophylla. Widely distributed in tropical central Africa in the vast Congo Basin. The habitat covers both river valleys under the forest canopy and mountainous terrain (300–1100 meters above sea level), where the plant grows on rocky ground.
It is sold under its real name, although there are also synonyms, for example, the trade name Anubias undulata. By its nature, it is a marsh plant, but can easily be cultivated in an aquarium completely submerged in water. True, in this case, growth slows down, which can rather be regarded as a virtue, since Anubias heterophyllous will retain its original shape and size for a long time without disturbing the internal “interior”.
