Ammania broadleaf
Ammania broadleaf, scientific name Ammannia latifolia. Distributed in the eastern states of the United States, Central America and the Caribbean. It grows in the coastal strip, respectively, is found in both fresh and brackish water. Prefers open sunny areas.
In nature, it grows up to a meter, but in an aquarium it is usually no more than 40 cm. It has a thick stem from which wide leathery leaves extend. The color of the lower ones is green, the upper ones have red or purple hues. It belongs to the universal and unpretentious plants, but needs a large open tank and deep soil. At the time of writing, there is little information about the use of Ammania broadleaf in the aquarium trade, and it comes mainly from North America.
