Albino whale photographed in Australia, possibly the son of the famous white whale flashing

The completely white Migaloo whale, which lives off the coast of Australia, has long been considered the only albino humpback whale in the world.

Other juvenile humpback white whales were later discovered and given the names Bahlu, Willow and Migalu Jr. Probably, this trinity was the descendants of Migalu.

And recently, off the coast of the Australian state of New South Wales near the city of Lennox Head, a female humpback whale (normal color) was photographed with another completely white cub.

The researchers are sure that the white gene was also passed on to the baby from his dad Migalu, as he often swims in these waters.  

A unique video filmed from a paraglider by Out of the Blue Adventures member Keenan Wall shows a mother and her calf floating serenely in the ocean. The white whale stays close to the reliable mother’s side.

The last time Migala was spotted off the coast of Australia in 2017, this year he has not “shone” yet, but probably not long to wait. Migaloo usually sails to the shores of New South Wales between June and November. When summer begins in Australia, and winter in the northern hemisphere, Migalu gets too hot here and he sails to the shores of Antarctica.

Migaloo and other native humpback whales are protected under Australian law. The population of eastern humpback whales suffered greatly from whaling, but with its ban in the 1960s, it is slowly and gradually recovering.
