With what commands should you start training a puppy?
Often, owners, especially those who are not very experienced and who are starting to work with a dog for the first time, ask: “What commands should I start training a puppy with?”
As a rule, puppy training begins with the following commands:
- Sit.
- Stand.
- Lie.
- To me.
- Give.
- A place.
However, do not rush to demand everything from the puppy at once! Remember that before you start teaching your puppy specific commands, you need to create a base:
- Teach your pet to play (if he does not do it too willingly). The game is an indispensable “tool” in puppy training. Without it, the process of training a puppy will be, if not impossible, then at least very difficult.
- Teach your child to switch attention. There are special games and exercises that will help you teach your puppy this wisdom.
- Teach your puppy self-control and self-control exercises. Otherwise, it will be extremely difficult for the baby to cope with the many temptations of our such an amazing world!
Do not forget also that puppy training takes place exclusively in the form of a game and should be associated only with pleasant emotions. Remember that almost every forbidding command (for example, “Fu”) can be replaced with an action command (for example, “Come to me”).
