Maintenance and care
An unpretentious and easy to maintain species that will be an excellent choice even for a novice aquarist. Comfortable living conditions can be provided in a spacious tank, for example, for 4–5 fish, an aquarium of 80 liters or more will be required, with a minimum design of sandy or fine gravel soil and several shelters at the bottom. As the latter, snags and thickets of plants are suitable. The hydrochemical composition of water should be in the range of 6.0–7.5 pH and 0–10 dGH. Regular maintenance of the aquarium will keep these indicators in the acceptable range.
Food. Choosing the right diet will also not cause problems. Corydoras white-striped will accept most popular feeds of a suitable size. The only recommendation is that it is advisable to pick up sinking foods so as not to force the catfish to constantly rise to the surface.
behavior and compatibility. Due to their peaceful disposition, Cory catfish will become good neighbors for many freshwater species that can live in a similar hydrochemical composition of water, and these are almost all characins, cyprinids, labyrinths and other popular groups of aquarium fish.
