water bow
The water onion or Thai water onion, scientific name Crinum thaianum, is found mainly in present-day Thailand. It is endangered due to habitat destruction.
The base of the plant is a bulb with roots, the leaves are long ribbon-like, in their natural habitat they can reach one and a half meters in length, and only 2 cm in diameter. They have an extremely rigid structure that even herbivorous large fish do not use them for food.
An extremely hardy plant, able to adapt to most tropical aquarium conditions. Withstands significant temperature fluctuations and lighting variations. Due to the large length, they are located at the back wall of the tank as a background. Reaching the surface, the leaves begin to spread along it, in order to avoid shading, they can be cut. Reproduces with the help of bulbs.
