Stalin’s dog – photo and description
In the 1950s, a unique breed was created in one of the laboratories in Moscow – Stalin’s dog. She is better known as the Black Russian Terrier, and her fanciers simply called her Blackie. Even in ordinary photos, Stalin’s dogs look noble and self-confident.
The Black Russian Terrier is unique, because it was bred by crossing several breeds, including Giant Schnauzer, Rottweiler, Airedale Terrier, etc.
It combines all the best qualities: the blackie is cunning, courageous, cheerful and friendly.
He also has massive muscles and large sizes: male black terriers reach a height of 78 cm, and females grow up to 74 cm.
By nature, they are quite calm, patient and hardy. These dogs make excellent nannies and reliable guards.
Particular attention should be paid to the dog’s hairline: it is coarse, long and with a thick undercoat.
Dogs constantly need a moderate haircut: periodically you need to trim the bangs and ends.
Initially, Black Russian Terriers were considered aggressive and short-tempered dogs, but when the breed gained mass popularity, everything changed. Of course, it all depends on the upbringing of the pet and the goals of the breeder.
