Skink

Tsepkohvosty skink (Corucia zebrata) living on the Solomon Islands is up to 70 cm long, more than half of which is occupied by a thick and tenacious tail. Above it is greenish-olive or khaki with indistinct transverse stripes. The chain-tailed skink leads a twilight lifestyle, hiding during the day in the dense canopy of trees, the leaves of which are its main food. Females bring only one, but very large cub, the size of which is about a third of its length.
