Short-faced corridor
Corydoras short-faced or catfish Cory short-faced, scientific name Corydoras brevirostris, belongs to the family (Corry or Callicht catfish). Despite the fact that the fish was described as early as 1947 and has been found in home aquariums for several decades, it has long been known under other names. The confusion is related to the complexity of identification – this type of catfish is practically indistinguishable from its close relatives.
Comes from South America. The exact habitat has not been established and is designated as the Orinoco River basin in Venezuela.

Maintenance and care
An unpretentious hardy fish, its maintenance will not cause great difficulties even for a novice aquarist. The main thing is to provide and maintain a suitable hydrochemical composition of water, temperature, feed on time (but not overfeed), and prevent the accumulation of waste (food leftovers, excrement).
The uninterrupted operation of equipment, primarily the filtration system, and regular maintenance of the aquarium will be the key to biological balance. No specific procedures are required.
Food. Undemanding to the diet. Will accept a variety of foods (dry, live, frozen) popular in the aquarium hobby. It is desirable, it is desirable to use sinking products of small size so that the catfish can swallow them.
behavior and compatibility. The choice of possible aquarium neighbors is quite wide due to the peaceful disposition of Corydoras short-faced and its ability to adapt to various environments. A good choice would be the same calm, non-aggressive fish of a comparable size. It is recommended to purchase a group of 4-6 individuals.
