Bourns Sport Horses is located in the Netherlands and trains young horses to top sport levels. “We travel a lot to different countries and stables to find good horses that have the potential for big sport. We are looking for horses with good natural balance who enjoy learning. But the most important thing is the mental abilities of the horse. We are looking for horses that are willing to work and want to fight for the rider on the fighting field,” says stable owner Richard Bournes.
“Our base is optimally located for our tasks. Our three talented riders work a lot from home, but we are close to three of the largest equestrian complexes, such as Peelbergen, Azelhof, Aachen. This means that our horses have every chance to develop at the international level, because we have the opportunity to participate in international tournaments almost every week.”
The European horse base has already prepared several top class horses such as Hennessy, Galina and Hazard. Bourns Sport Horses do not only operate in Europe, they have a center in Wellington – Florida (USA), which is managed by Andrew Bournes. American Center horses perform in Wellington and throughout the United States. Recently trained horses include A Toi de Prim, Menko van de Wellington, Sea Top Blue and Darquito.
