Pecilia coral
Pecilia coral or Pecilia red-white, English trade name Platy Coral. It is a selective color variation of the common Pecilia, not found in the wild. The color of an adult fish combines orange (or red) colors and light milky shades. The fry are born with a solid red coloration. After a few weeks, some of them begin to show white colors, forming a unique pattern. The rest remain red or orange, or become completely white.

Maintenance and care, arrangement of the aquarium
Features of the content are similar to other types and ornamental breeds of Pecilia. For 3-4 fish, an aquarium with a volume of 50-60 liters or more with warm, clean water with pH values close to neutral and high values of total hardness is sufficient. In the design, it is desirable to use a large number of aquatic plants, which will serve as shelters for females, subdominant males and growing juveniles.
The maintenance of an aquarium depends on its technical equipment and the number of inhabitants, but some procedures are mandatory in any case. This is a weekly replacement of part of the water with fresh water and the removal of organic waste (remains of feed and excrement).
Food
For a novice aquarist, the best choice is food made specifically for Pecilia, produced by many manufacturers. Such products contain all the necessary substances, in particular plant components, necessary for the healthy growth of fish. Uneaten food remains should be removed in time to prevent deterioration of water quality.
Behavior and Compatibility
Considered a peaceful and friendly species, it gets along well with other popular aquarium fish of comparable size and temperament. Within the species there is competition between males for dominance and female attention. In small aquariums, males can be overly active, which is why there is a need for shelters.
Breeding / breeding
In a suitable environment, Pecilia red-white is able to give offspring regularly. The incubation period is 26–30 days at a water temperature of 22–26°C. The fry appear fully formed and ready to eat. It is recommended to use live foods as feed, such as Artemia nauplii, ciliates, dry powders or suspensions. It is advisable to transplant the fry into a separate tank. This will protect them from predation by adult fish and allow for more efficient feeding.
