The application “Conversational genre for parrots” from the developer Genreparrot is designed to teach parrots individual words and phrases, both standard and recorded on a voice recorder.

The peculiarity of the program is that it attracts the attention of a bird with a special sound that distinguishes the word or phrase chosen by the owner from the general stream of other sounds. In addition, there is a function to change the attractive sound for associative learning, that is, the sound of a doorbell can be associated, for example, with the phrase “Who is there?”.

The application comes with over 50 selected phrases, divided into 10 sets. Basically, these are well-known expressions from cartoons and Soviet films that are easy to learn and sound funny from the lips of a feathered one.

The program “Conversational genre for parrots” is completely autonomous in its work, with the ability to set up a work schedule. You can download it as an application on your phone or tablet with the Android operating system. The original full version is paid, it costs about $2.

Phrasebook for a parrot

Phrasebook for Parrots is another program that will help in teaching a parrot to talk. The database has three words to choose from: hello birdie and I love you.

The selected word (or all at once) is repeated with an interval of 2 seconds. Also, like the previous one, this program attracts a bird on its own. Every 20 seconds, a short recording of the voice of a parrot of a certain species is played. To date, the sounds of a jaco, a noble parrot, budgies and nerds are available, but the developers assure that the rest also often react to these attractors. To select a word and type of parrot, just put a tick next to them.

For the convenience of users, the Phrasebook for Parrots application has a timer with a step of 5 minutes. At the end of the training time, which is set by the owner, the program turns off.
