The unnamed dachshund came to curatorship in early June. She was brought from the suburbs of Minsk by summer residents. She went out to people from the forest. Wounded and weak, bitten …. But she went out – for help … What was there, in this forest? What happened to her? Nobody knows this…
We were looking for overexposure and were preparing to accept a new one, then Olga responded. The girl honestly admitted that she doesn’t have much experience, but she is ready to learn, you just need to show, tell and support. only an experienced person can do this. Then I asked Olga a direct question: “Can you handle it?” – and the confidence in the voice of this young and pleasant girl was transferred to me. So they met. Dana turned out to be an amazingly patient dog. She endured all the procedures, calmly lying on her back. And Olga turned out to be an incredibly diligent student, after a few days it was not us, but she taught us how to carry out the procedures. Then I heard from her a firm “I won’t give it to anyone!” We communicate with Olga now, we keep in touch, for which I am very grateful to her. There were also difficulties that Olga had to cope with. After all, refuseniks are all with their own problems, which only a loving and patient owner can solve. This is such a story, a story of salvation, love, trust, a story of friendship. Communicating with this already experienced dog owner, I found out that she had long wanted to take the dog for overexposure, to help, but they did not trust her or simply did not answer. Danochka was very lucky with a man, and Olga with a friend. They found each other. The photos were taken by Tatyana Prokopchik especially for the project “Two legs, four paws, one heart”.
