Maine Coon and Akita Inu are best friends!

There are two pets in our family – a dog of the Akita Inu breed Kito and a Maine Coon cat Fabian.

Both breeders offered to choose the nickname for the dog and the cat.

If in the case of the cat we had time – 3 months, then we were given only 1 day to choose the dog’s nickname.

So, we were told that puppies’ names should begin with the letter “K”, and we began to wool the Internet in search of the original name. Since the breed is Japanese, they began to study Japanese words. Human names were not considered: suddenly we will go to an exhibition in Japan, and our guy will be called by the same name as the judge! In general, they barely found the name of the mountain – Kinkazan. We told the breeder, he laughed and said that it looked like Kin-dza-dza. At home, they decided to call the dog Kito – a derivative of Akita – Akitosha – Kitosha.

For the cat, they also selected different words for the letter for the letter F (breeder’s condition). There was even a pharmacist. But by chance I found the name Fabian on the Internet. I read that the owner of this name is very kind and ready to give the last for the sake of a close being. In addition, this is a very soft and gentle name, apparently, this is how I wanted to see the cat. But in life he turned out to be a real spark – Fire.

The Akita Inu dog breed is a random choice. I wanted a bobtail girl, but my husband and I stumbled upon a site with a list of breeds and their descriptions, and the first was an Akita Inu. The husband shouted: “It’s Hachiko!”. Immediately found an advertisement for the sale of puppies in the neighboring area. On the same evening went to see. 8 lumps slept in the corner. But one of them came up to us and began to lick the hands of his husband. Do you think we could have left and not opted for it? Although the Akita Inu is a very difficult breed that requires 100% commitment from the owner. I would not recommend getting a dog of this breed as a first experience. The dog is very intelligent and loves to have its owner develop its brain, but due to its desire to dominate, there may be problems in relationships with other dogs. Therefore, I advise you to look for breeders who can look at the behavior of both the male and the female in order to make sure that they have a good psyche. And before deciding to buy a puppy, devote several months to studying information on the forums, to communicate with the owners.

But I went to a Maine Coon cat for several years. I like big dogs and cats. In addition, the Maine Coon conquered me with his “human” look and calm character, mind and habits, similar to the habits of dogs.

Our pets of the same color are red. Cats, in my opinion, should be red. And it so happened that there is already a red dog in the house. I love harmony.

The dog met his new friend with great interest and even greater desire to play. We became friends very quickly, we did not make any efforts, we only fed Kito with various sweets. In order for the kitten to be more comfortable, I fenced off an area for him where he could safely eat, drink and go to the toilet. But their separate existence did not last long – on the second day, the curiosity of the kitten

Since we still have a kitten for less than a month, one of the funny cases is only the desire of the kitten to tease the dog. The kitten sneaks up to the dog from behind and jumps, and then quickly runs away to a secluded place. And the dog tries every time after a walk to lick the kitten, as if he also returned dirty from the street.

Friends like to drink tap water together and occasionally sleep next to each other.
