 The genus of long-winged parrots has 9 species. In nature, these parrots inhabit the tropical zone of Africa (from the Sahara to Cape Horn and from Ethiopia to Senegal). The body length of long-winged parrots is from 20 to 24 cm, the tail is 7 cm. The wings, as the name implies, are long – they reach the tip of the tail . The tail is rounded. The mandible is strongly curved and large. The bridle is naked. Parakeets are omnivores. At home, long-winged parrots are most often kept in aviaries. As a rule, adult parakeets are very wary of people, but if the chick is hand-fed, it can become a wonderful friend. Long-winged parrots live for a long time, sometimes up to 40 years (and even longer). Among lovers, the most popular Senegalese parrots.
