Incolicana corridor
Corydoras incolicana, scientific name Corydoras incolicana, belongs to the family Callichthyidae (armored or callichthy catfishes). The fish is named after the area in which it was found – the Icahn River basin in northern Brazil (South America). However, the natural habitat is not limited only to this river, the catfish is also found in the upper reaches of the Rio Negro (whose tributary is Ikana) in northern Brazil and partly in the southeastern departments of Colombia.
It is worth noting that this is the first type of Corydoras, which was classified according to the new methodology, which implies the assignment of the Latin letters C or L and a serial number to the newly discovered species. After its discovery in 1993, it was referred to as C001 until it received the scientific name Corydoras incolicana.

Maintenance and care
Acclimatized catfish, already grown in captivity, as a rule, does not impose high requirements on its content. Aquarium maintenance will be the same as with most other freshwater fish, namely: provide clean warm water with suitable pH and dGH values, change part of the water to fresh water weekly, regularly remove organic waste, perform equipment maintenance, etc.
Wild fish are more sensitive to the quality and hydrochemical composition of the water, which should be comparable to the same parameters that the water in the Rio Negro has. However, the probability of finding such fish for sale in Europe is extremely small.
The incolicana corridor is also not picky about the choice of design. The minimum set of decor includes soft sandy ground and a few shelters. The latter can be natural driftwood, thickets of plants, heaps of stones, as well as any decorative artificial objects / decorations intended for use in an aquarium.
Food. Will accept most popular feeds in live, frozen and dry form. It is important to select quality (from well-known manufacturers) sinking foods so as not to force the catfish to rise to the surface to feed.
behavior and compatibility. They are distinguished by a peaceful and even modest disposition both in relation to their relatives and to other species. Compatible with many non-aggressive and non-territorial fish of comparable size.
