How to wean a dog to wallow in the mud?

Experienced dog breeders assure that sometimes dogs, wallowing in sewage, try to kill the smell of too fragrant shampoo or dog perfume, which they consider unnatural. A neutral detergent that does not irritate the pet’s scent will help solve the problem. 

Rolling on the ground, including in the mud, four-legged friends can get rid of excess hair during the molting period, experts say. Therefore, regular combing can subsequently save the owner from washing a foul-smelling pet.

It is possible that sometimes wallowing in carrion signals to the owner of the dog that his pet is simply bored. In this case, you need to take a ball, frisbee, rope or other favorite toy with you for a walk. Active games with a high degree of probability will occupy the animal so much that it will not even remember its craving for “fragrant” adventures.

Finally, by fiddling with dirt and sewage, the dog can thus get rid of parasites living in the undercoat. In this situation, you should urgently come to the aid of the pet and treat the coat with special protective equipment.
